About Us
Paddington Pups was established four years ago as the Purebread Pet Pantry & Supplies store on Given Terrace Paddington. In November 2007, Purebread moved to a larger premises at Heussler Terrace (just behind Suncorp Stadium). In May 2008, Purebread was purchased by Carly Fitzgerald and renamed Paddington Pups.
At Paddington Pups we are passionate about animals and in particular, we aim to provide our customers with everything they need to care for their pets.
Dogs are social animals and do not like to be left on their own, which is why our Doggy Daycare service is so important for our busy customers. All our Doggy Daycare students arrive with their tails wagging because they can’t wait to see their friends and our staff who love them dearly.
Our Staff:

I have walked dogs in a semi-professional capacity since I was 11, walking as many as 5 dogs at a time. I have grown up around animals and on farms, and am comfortable in any situation regarding pets. I am intending on carrying on in this industry, involving my University studies into animal care.

I have grown up around animals and have spent many holidays working on cattle farms in Victoria. I plan on studying vet science, wildlife science or zoology at university.

I grew up in a rural area surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes; I couldn’t imagine my personal life without the companionship of a dog. I began my career in the animal industry as a volunteer with the RSPCA, eventually moving into a permanent role at the Fairfield shelter helping out a range of less fortunate animals.

I have 8 years experience in the animal industry. I was a pet sitter for several years before getting into grooming and pet retail. I have volunteered at the RSPCA, the MacIntyre Centre (Horse Riding for the Disabled) and currently volunteer at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary during uni holidays. I am currently studying Applied Science at UQ in wildlife science and vet nursing and hope to get into Veterinary Science after graduation.

I have been a groomer for 5 years, and been a pet sitter for a long time, as well as growing up around animals.

I have helped my sister Mia as a casual dog-walker since I was 12. I have had a lot of exposure to animals growing up and I love animals of any type. I intend to continue with my interest in animals while studying, as I am completing a Bachelor of Science, possibly to go into a veterinarian career.

I am officially an animal lover I grew up on acreage in the hinterland on the gold coast and over my short years I have had horses, chickens, birds, fish, Guinea pigs, cows, cats, the odd goat and always lots of dogs and that is just the pets not to mention the numerous wild animals that lived at our doorstep. I have been extensively coached in the pet industry as well as I read a lot of books and keep up to date with anything going on in the industry. I am currently perusing further Animal Behaviour studies.
