Doggy Daycare and Train – Dog Training Done for You

08 December 2021

Dog Training done for you is coming to Paddington Pups on Monday January 31st 2022 and we are THRILLED to be able to offer this to you and to help you with your dog training needs.

Our in-house dog training program is designed to help you with the basics, to get your dog behaving for you and others in a polite and respectful manner.

We have put together this program to help you with your dog to get better results at home with ‘Dog training done for you.’  In this program the team at Paddington Pups will work with your dog in sessions each week within a specific framework of activities and training tools and do the training for you.

Now we all know dog training is both the dog and human working together so we also support you with helpful articles, quick tips and videos for you to watch at home.

What you will get with Paddington Pups Dog Training

By signing up for Paddington Pups Dog Training you will receive a personalised training program specifically for your dog. It is designed to provide you with an easier way to control your dog and improve their basic manners. We support you every step of the way, working with you to better your relationship with your dog, providing advice and assistance to help train your dog.

We are so excited to launch our dog training program here at Paddington Pups to provide you with help, guidance and access to the tools you need to create the best behaved dog possible and strengthen the relationships between you and your dog.

Training sessions will be individually tailored to each dog, and progress will depend on the dogs starting point, its speed of learning and its consistency of routine at home.

Why should I consider it?
  • I want to spend time with my dog when I’m out.
  • I want my dog to be a well behaved and responsible dog.
  • I want my dog to know the rules of the road.
  • I want my dog to have good manners.
  • I want my dog to be able to look after himself/herself.
  • I want to teach my dog basic obedience but don’t really know how or I don’t have the time.
  • I want my dog to feel rewarded for being a good dog.
  • I want my dog to have a happy and adventurous life.
Framework

Training will be 12 sessions being delivered over 6 week blocks with your dog scheduled for 2 training sessions weekly.

We train weekly on 6 core basic training activities (other issues on request):

  • Loose Lead Walking
  • Recall (come)
  • Sit
  • Down
  • Wait
  • Leave it

We have put together this training program to help you increase your dog’s confidence and teach him/her how to act appropriately toward other people in social situations. With these training tools we can help you increase your dog’s confidence and help the dog to learn the correct ways to behave around other people.

How we got here

In 2019 we put together a survey to hear from all of our customers. We asked a lot of questions, one of which was about your dog’s behaviour problems. In the survey you had the opportunity to tell us about your dog’s behaviour problems, what they were and the service we provided. This was extremely helpful to us as we were able to create our dog training program according to your feedback.

How do I enrol my dog?

Each dog will have a program that includes 2 sessions per week. These sessions are one on one training sessions with your dog and one of our trained team members working within a framework for your dog.

We work through a list of specific training activities during each of your dog’s sessions and progress your dog at the speed and pace they are most comfortable.

Results for your dog will depend on where they start with each activity and how much progress they can make each week. For example, if your dog is already reasonable at loose lead walking, we will get faster results than that of a dog that cannot be walked on a lead at all as a starting point.

We will be selling our training course at pre-release discounted prices in our December Deals. Training is sold in 6 week blocks of 12 sessions (minimum of 2 sessions weekly). Sessions must be pre-booked and limited places are available as this is a one-on-one training program just for your dog.

What to do if your dog isn’t responding

Dog training can take time and is based on a number of factors including consistency and repetition. This is why we have broken this course down into 12 sessions and 6 week blocks, so that your dog gets the benefits of repetition and consistency.

All dogs make progress with our training course but how much progress is based around how quickly your dog learns and consistency of training so it’s vital that you can continue the lessons at home, with the helpful tips and videos we provide to assist you.

Sometimes it takes longer to forget a bad habit and we are here to help you with that too. Even if your dog has failed with training before it’s quite possible that the trainer just didn’t understand your dog’s unique personality. This is one of the great benefits of Paddington Pups dog training as we already know and have a trusted relationship with your dog.
