New year, new addition to your pack?

10 January 2020

Sadly, as people start to get back into their daily routines after the holidays, the strain on Animal rescues and shelters and Pounds increases dramatically as puppies and dogs, often impulsively purchased as Christmas gifts, are being surrendered.

We know that all of the Paddington Pups Pack care deeply for their dogs and, well, dogs in general. If you have some spare time or space in your home, there are things you can do to help ease the strain on animal shelters.

If you’re wanting to get a family pet then you should definitely look into one of the many adoption centers or adoption drives as your new pack member may be waiting there for you to bring them to their furever home.

If you’re not looking for a furever dog, there is always the option to foster. By fostering, you are helping out your local Animal Rescue. You are also giving yourself and your family the opportunity to really understand what it’s like to be a puppy parent and gaining understanding of different dog breeds and their needs.

There is always the opportunity to volunteer at your local rescue center. This way you get the chance to still look after some beautiful four legged friends and get to gain a feel as to whether you have the time to look after your own fur baby.

If you’ve done your research and have decided that you are able to commit fully to a new addition, please remember the large number of fur babies currently living in shelters and needing a home that you could adopt and give a furever home to.

Animal Rescues and Shelters such as Happy Tails, Gumtree Greys and Animal Welfare League are constantly needing assistance with both fostering and volunteers and have such a beautiful bunch of dogs up for adoption, you’ll be hard pressed to fall in love with only one of their wonderful dogs.
