Paddington Pups’ Attendance at the Orlando ODD Ball Conference

10 April 2024

Last month, Paddington Pups took a leap forward in the doggy daycare industry, thanks to our adventurous owner, Bree. Her journey to the Owners of Doggy Daycare Ball (ODD Ball) in Orlando wasn’t just a trip; it was a mission to gather the latest trends, insights, and innovations in dog care to ensure that Paddington Pups continues to be the best possible sanctuary for your pups.

The ODD Ball is more than just a convention; it’s a gathering of minds, a meeting of doggy daycare owners from around the globe, coming together to share, learn, and connect. Bree ventured into this plethora of knowledge with one goal: to bring back a treasure trove of information and ideas to make Paddington Pups even more exceptional.

At the ODD Ball, Bree discovered a world filled with ground-breaking approaches to dog care. Discussions ranged from playstyles, chaos theory in dogs, to canine well-being and beyond. Topics such as aromatherapy, dominance theory, holistic medicine, and the impact of diet on dogs’ health were explored. Management styles, staffing solutions, and enrichment activities also took center stage, offering insights into enhancing both the operational aspects of daycare management and the overall experience for our dogs.

Building a Global Network

One of the most valuable takeaways from the event was the strengthening of international ties. Bree forged connections with other daycare owners, creating a supportive network for sharing solutions and innovations. This community allows us to stay ahead of challenges, ensuring that we can provide the best care for your pets through collective wisdom and shared experiences.

From Insights to Action

The knowledge gained from the ODD Ball is already shaping the future of Paddington Pups. We’re exploring new training programs for our team, adding to our comprehensive training regime to ensure that every member can provide the highest standard of care. The event also presented an opportunity to learn about the latest products and services in the dog care industry, from training aids to health and wellness products, which we’re excited to incorporate into our offerings.

The Story of the Fire Hydrant

Perhaps the most memorable story Bree brought back was her determination to bring home a fire hydrant won at the event simply for the dogs to pee on out the back — a symbol of the lengths we’ll go to enhance our daycare! Navigating through shipping challenges and customs with a fire hydrant (and a few lightsabers from Disneyland) in tow, Bree’s journey back to Australia epitomizes our dedication to creating a unique and loving environment for your dogs.

Looking Forward

The insights and connections gained from the ODD Ball are invaluable. They not only reinforce our commitment to providing the best care but also inspire us to keep innovating and improving. From enrichment activities to health and wellness initiatives, we’re excited to implement these new ideas and continue making Paddington Pups a place where dogs can thrive, play, and feel loved.

As we move forward, we’re excited to share these advancements with you and your furry family members. Stay tuned for updates on new programs, events, and improvements at Paddington Pups, all inspired by our fruitful journey to the ODD Ball in Orlando. Together, we’re setting new standards in doggy daycare, ensuring that every pup that passes through our doors leaves healthy, happy and enriched.
